HWIL Laboratory V&V Software–Real Time Linux SW Development

BFA Systems, Inc. is currently seeking an HWIL Laboratory V&V Software Developer. Applicant should have extensive knowledge and experience with C++, including an extensive
knowledge and experience with kernel and user space concepts (Linux 2.6 or greater). In addition, applicant should have experience with device driver programming in
a multi-threaded distributed real-time Linux environment. Extensive knowledge of and experience with device driver programming with PCI bus devices and experience with
schedulers & synchronization in a multi-threaded distributed real-time Linux environment. Lastly, qualified applicants should possess experience with shared memory in a
multi-threaded distributed real-time Linux environment. A minimum of 4 years experience is preferred.
Education Requirements: Candidate should possess a technical degree from
an accredited college in a major such as Engineering,
Computer Science, or Related Field.

Candidates are expected to be able to create detailed level software designs from customer provided requirement and interface specifications, produce accurate documentation capturing the design, and then implement and conduct unit test of the produced software. Candidate should be familiar with one or all of the following: C/C++, Windows, Vista or Linux development environments. Junior Engineer

Applicant must have at least one year of related engineering experience. Candidate will work in a project office environment and be located on-site with the government customer. Provides recommendations and prepares milestone decision documents. Reviews, analyzes, and applies requirements of statutory and regulatory requirements to the program. Prepares for and supports integrated product team meetings, briefings, and in-process / design reviews. Understanding of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Microsoft Project, as well as a basic knowledge of the DoD Acquisition Process is a plus. Excellent oral and written skills are mandatory.

V&V Engineer/Analyst

BFA Systems, Inc. is currently seeking a V&V Engineering/Analyst. The candidate for this position will focus on Verification and Validation of Ballistic Missile Defense weapon systems in a distributed test environment. Support interaction with Weapon System Project/Product Offices to coordinate both performance and interoperability requirements and perform on-site testing during distributed Ground Tests. Candidate will also be required to assist in the development of V&V plans and reports. Candidate must be able to understand scope of tasks, perform analysis utilizing appropriate classical and computer aided techniques, and prepare results for presentation orally and in writing. 3-10 years of related software V&V experience to include 3-5 years hands on experience performing HW or SW testing. Weapon system background and interoperability knowledge (MIL-STD-6016) is beneficial. Some travel may be required.

Systems Engineer/Analyst

Some will participate in the analysis of detailed test data, determine causes of failures, and generate detailed technical reports, briefings and white papers. Candidates should be familiar with the development of complex radar, command and control, and communications systems and must be familiar with requirements verification and validation. Knowledge of missile system modeling and simulation, computer programming, and distributed testing is desired. Understanding of system interface analysis or testing also desired.
